Since I still have another 2 weeks off, so I decided to make another To Do List, since my Fall one made me very productive and creative! Some of the following are more exciting than others, but here goes:
Touch up the ceiling and trim paint in the bathrooms from the last painting job. (need to take a paint chip to Home Depot to match up the color and have just been avoiding it)
- Make homemade ravioli by hand and decide if I need a pasta roller or not. I’m going to try this recipe here.
- Try making pizzelles in my new pizzelle maker! 🙂
- Make a sign for my sister in laws sweet 16 candy-themed party.
Frame up our builder grade mirror upstairs with a tutorial like this one. Paint and hang the white shelf I just bought at TJ Maxx in the upstairs bath (see below)

For Christmas this year at school I made my coworkers Homemade Hot Chocolate in mason jars with homemade tags that I made with my new Cricut!
The recipe for hot chocolate was from Martha Stewart, and can also be found below:
- 3 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 1/4 cups cocoa
- 1 tablespoon table salt
- Whatever milk you’d like for serving
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, cocoa, and salt, and whisk to combine well. Store the mixture in an airtight container.
- For individual servings, pour 1 cup milk into a microwave-safe mug, and microwave on high just until hot. Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa mix, and stir to dissolve. For a larger batch of cocoa, warm the milk in a saucepan set over medium-low heat, taking care not to let the milk boil; as it warms, stir in 2 tablespoons of mix for each cup of milk.
After making the mix (I made 3x this amount in order to make enough for 9 mason jars full for my co-workers), I scooped the mix into mason jars until they were 3/4 full. Then I topped off the mix with mini chocolate chips, then broken peppermint pieces and mini marshmallows on top. Yummy! They were a hit.
